Our Psychiatrists are authorised under s.12 of The Mental Health Act and are able to assess, and report on an individual’s conditions. They are also able to provide determination as to fitness to plead and/or stand trial.

Detailed reports can also be provided to assist the court in considering the most appropriate sentence given any psychiatric illness identified.
